RC X Off-Road Challenge

Meyerton RC Raceway and Avion Raceway have decided to run a four race series off-road challenge between themselves for 2012. The series is called 'RC X Off-Road Challenge'. Four races will be held, of which the best three will count, leaving you with one throw-away. Each of the races will be a one day race that will be held on a Sunday, this way, everyone will cut their costs when it comes to traveling etc. The aim of the RC X Off-Road Challenge is to provide fun for racers with buggies and truggies, nitro and or electric.

Entry Fees

• R150.00 for the first class
• R100.00 for classes there after

Fees will include prizes and hired marshals.
Any driver can enter, even if he or she is not a member of any club.

Points system

• We will run three qualifiers of 5 minutes and the best two will make up 30% of your points.
• The mains will be 30 minutes and will make up  70% of your points.
• The overall winner at the end of the year will be determined by the points collected throughout the year.
• Each driver will race for his own position, regardless if you are an advanced or beginner driver.
• The points will be made up by your average laps and time for the day.
• The Top Qualifier of the day will get 5 bonus points.

The dates for the series will be:

• 12 February: Meyerton RC Raceway
  
• 15 April: Avion Raceway
  
• 15 July: Meyerton RC Raceway
  
• 16 Septenber: Avion Raceway (Final Race and Prize Giving)

Morning Schedule

• Gates will open at 6.00am
• Practice from 6.00am to 7.10am
• Registration will be at 7.15 am
• Drivers briefing at 8.00am

There will be bacon rolls and coffee for breakfast at the track.
